We are able to offer CCTV systems from traditional coaxial cable systems through to Internet Protocol (IP) network cameras and high resolution fibre fed cameras.
IP Network Cameras
Utilising your existing investment in cabling infrastructure you can integrate your security cameras into a single centralised system. Digital CCTV over IP offers much greater versatility and flexibility than traditional CCTV systems. Cameras can be plugged in wherever an Ethernet Point exists; recordings or live transmissions can be viewed on any authorised PC on the network. Existing CCTV systems using coaxial cable can be integrated into the digital system, protecting your investment and making it accessible across the network.
If required cameras and recordings can be viewed remotely over the Internet using your existing broadband connection. So, for example, verification of alarms can occur quickly and safely from a keyholders home.
Digital Video Recorder
Digital Video Recorders (DVR'S) typically sample each camera once a second and the resultant images are stored to hard disk. Images can either be viewed in real time or retrieved from the recorder in single or multi screen mode. Images continue to be stored until space on the drive becomes constrained, typically 14 days, older images are then overwritten unless saved to an archive mechanism that can be any standard network storage or back-up device.
Network Video Recorders
CCTV cameras are particularly useful in the education environment where they can be used to monitor classrooms, corridors and external areas on a day to day basis as well as out of hours. Reductions in vandalism, unauthorised entry and theft are all acknowledged benefits of an efficient CCTV installation. In this new era of increasingly strict guidelines for teachers, litigation opportunities and the need for truancy evidence, digital CCTV can provide a welcome source of impartial information.
CCTV in Schools
Network Video Recorders are customized servers built just for the purpose of handling IP camera systems on a dedicated network. The NVR's are designed to handle the vast amount of simultaneous video streams coming in for recording, and rebroadcasting the same feed out live to client machines locally or remotely.
