ITV1 Westcountry

ITV1 Westcountry recently completed an ambitious project to completely replace their tape based news editing and transmission systems with a new video server system. The majority of the work was carried out in-house, whilst not disrupting the normal operation of the station.

This required the building of temporary edit suites to allow refurbishment of the existing rooms. As some of the old equipment was to be re-used in the new suites, Carlton had a requirement for audio monitoring and metering for three temporary edit suites. Westbrook Communications designed, built, tested and installed these three units in the space of one weekend, as timing was critical to the project.

Pentrich Properties

Pentrich Properties are a letting agency offering student and profesional lets in the Bristol area as well as offering a comprehensive property investment service. Westbrook Communications supplied a complete IT solution including dado trunking (mains and Cat5e data), computers, managed internet access and an ongoing IT support contract.

Sound Telecom

Westbrook Communications sister company, Sound Telecom, recently commissioned us to produce a solid state Music On Hold playback device for connection to a variety of PABX telephone systems.

Exotec Electronics

Exotec Electronics who manufacture custom designed test equipment for the transport industry, use Westbrook Communications to design PCB layouts and manufacture prototype boards.
