Past Projects
Westbrook Communications undertook work at Cornwallis School To provide several classrooms with Interactive whiteboards, both Smart and Promethean.

Westbrook communications also installed several audio systems to work alongside the interactive whiteboards including a multi-frequency radio microphone system to allow more than one microphone to operate in the same open area without interferance.

Westbrook communications also installed a 500W 100 Volt Line PA system.

Sauflon Pharmaceuticals is a large pharmaceuticals company with its distribution base in Ashford. We were responsible for the design and installation of all the network infrastructure including multiple fibre links and wireless networks for their new distribution centre.

Westbrook Communications installed several interactive whiteboards and projectors, as well as audio equipment within the school in order to facilitate interactive learning

Westbrook Communications undertook work at Sutton Valence School in order to provide extensive network coverage. This included two Physics laboratories, a Chemistry Laboratory, an IT room and an accomodation block.

The network solution provided was a traditional Cat5e wired network, with one fiber optic connection also provided to the IT room. The IT room had forty two points in total all of which were terminated into a custom built rack, the switch was fed by a fiber optic link which we re-routed and terminated.

The Chemistry Laboratory had ten points put in and terminated to an existing rack. The upstairs Physics laboratory had two additional points put in, which again were terminated to an existing rack. However the downstairs laboratory required twelve points put in as well as the rack and switchgear.

The accomodation block(Margerets)Required 150 existing points some of which were installed by Westbrook Communications to be tested and labelled so that each point could be identified at both the switch and at the room ends of the connection. Some of the points required re-terminating as they failed the stringent tests that our testing equipment put them through.

When finished over 200 access points had been installed and tested.

Westbrook Communications undertook work at Sutton Valence Preparatory School Twenty four cat5e network points were installed, providing six classrooms with four points each. We also installed cat5e network points in the offices of the head and the deputy head

As part of the Thomas Aveling School's recent move towards electronic pupil registration Westbrook Communications were required to provide a network point by each teachers desk throughout the entire school. This involved the installation of over 130 Cat5e network points, four new data racks as well as extra mains points where required. To date Westbrook communications have installed nearly 9Km of copper and fibre cabling throughout the school including installing dado trunking (mains and data) for several computer rooms.

Westbrook Communications installed a fibre optic backbone to link all the buildings on the Buckfast Abbey site to the server room. This involved the installation of nearly 100 Cat5e network points fed back to 6 data racks containing new network switches. The central server room was then rebuilt incorporating a new floor standing rack and network switches. Following the installation the existing Electronic Point Of Sale (EPOS) system in the abbey shops was migrated onto the new network. It is also intended to migrate the telephone system to the new network using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.

Installation of over fifty cat5e network points including 5 new data racks and associated switches in preparation for electronic pupil registration. Westbrook Communications were also responsible for installing fourty network points and associated mains sockets using dado trunking in a new computer suite.
