Past Projects
Sauflon Pharmaceuticals is a large pharmaceuticals company with its distribution base in Ashford. We were responsible for the design and installation of all the network infrastructure including multiple fibre links and wireless networks for their new distribution centre.

Westbrook Communications undertook work at Sutton Valence School involving adding the Art and Design Technology (DT) departments on to the schools network. The main opposition that created a stumbling block is that the two buildings for art and DT are not on the same grounds as the school but instead based in the centre of the village. This of course proposed the problem that cables could not be used therefore the use of lasers was researched in to then given the go ahead.

Westbrook Communications has recently returned to Sutton Valance School to install several wireless access points to create a wireless network in the Cornwallis building giving students network access in yet another building. The building it self presented problems from the begining with the whole structure being made of re-enforced concrete, floors and walls inculded. This meant a conventional wired network was just not feasable, so wireless was chosen as the final solution.

Westbrook Communications installed several Wireless Acces Points in the sports department linked to the main school network by a 54Mbps radio link.

RNAS (Royal Naval Air Station) Culdrose had a requirement for a wireless network to provide internet access in five of the base's accommodation blocks. Westbrook Communications designed, installed and configured a wireless network consisting of some fifty Wireless Access Points fed by a new cat5e network. This network was then connected to the internet by four 2Mbps connections and routers. The system is now maintained and remotely monitored by Westbrook Communications.

The design and installation of a wireless network covering all classrooms at the King Edward VI Community College. This involved the use of some 65 WAP's to provide in classroom wireless access to the network across all three school sites.
